Ours works similarly. Students w/ accommodations schedule w/ our testing center. Embarrassment hasn’t been an issue reported to me as much as structural: our student disability office is overworked/understaffed so accommodations are difficult to obtain or students don’t know they need to do them

Yeah, and if your university haa as many vice provosts, assistant deans, etc as mine, it’s easy to see where they could take the money to help find student academic services
