To clarify, e6ai is Varka's pet project. I think saying that e621 is complicit in this is stretching the truth a bit. They are both owned and hosted by the same company, but they are operated by different groups. The e6 team has taken many anti-ai stances and tried to enforce them over time.

The site is essentially Varka's pet project. I'm not sure how best to stage a proper protest against this because I see value in e6, and at least when I left a few years ago, it was very against AI content, or scraping of any kind. Good luck with this! I'd love to see the e6ai side shut down.

Hey there, another former e621 staff member. The e6 team fought against this really hard when it happened. I was told, more or less, that it would happen with or without us. I managed to stage some protests internally such as getting the word artist removed from the site(later added back.)

As a previous staff member on e6, I'll just straight up say, yeah, it's owned by BD. I'll also add and say that 98% of staff on e621 DESPISE e6ai's existence and we have actively argued with the soulless corporate entity that is bad dragon to kill it.
