i hate the way it (The Machine) writes. i hate the way it writes so much. before llms i could only imagine the horror of pontypoolian verbozombies, Things that bark human speech without possessing any of the things normally required to create language. now i am constantly assailed by them.
Show PostThis is a situation where I completely believe the designers wrote it with the idea that most people will ignore this rule. It's a pretty heavy ask. And the tension between following and breaking it is far more interesting than just, "Hey this rule is annoying, let's change it."
Show PostI know a lot of people don't think MÖRK BORG is worth the hype, but I'll give it its flowers here. If you burn the book, that's a compelling end to a campaign that you'll never forget. If you don't burn your book, the book itself becomes something that's wrong, something cursed.
Show PostLet's spice it up. If you play MÖRK BORG and break the seventh seal, what happens if you don't burn your book? If you start a new campaign with the same book, are you still playing MÖRK BORG, or does taking the coward's way out mean that you're doing something fundamentally different?
Show Post"Some RPG rules are there for you to ignore." Okay, interesting... "In D&D, the rules around inventory are there so you get the joy of ignoring them."
