Dude, agree with most of what you post, but sometimes… Enjoy that collective farm - life was so wonderful in Mao’s China and Stalin’s USSR.
Show PostMy understanding, (although I’m no expert) is many countries, incl. UK, worked out defence spending assuming US troops & equip etc would also be available, but that’s all too unstable now to be relied upon, so if we are to be able to adequately defend ourselves we need to budget to do it alone.
Show Post(It might also have won more votes, they lost support in the campaign, probably the Ming vase campaign being uninspiring(?). Saying they were going to fix public services by undoing Hunt's blatant electioneering NI reduction might have been effective in inspiring, & attacking cynical Tory games.)
Show PostThere was also unprecedented tactical vote amongst the left, to get that landslide with only 34% of the vote. Not making the commitment may have lost them 2% of the vote, and consequentially a majority.
Show PostShould have ditched the commitment and blamed the tories. They spent 2 years trying to avoid difficult decisions and well it certainly didn't help their poll ratings did it.
