The crack problem is noticeably worse than it was 20-25 years ago. The robberies are downstream of that, I think. Not all the changes to Brixton are bad, but it's a much harder place to live cheaply but enjoyably (or at least interestingly) than once it was. Lambeth Council broke but also useless.
