Honestly the drums thing has me rolling. Reminds me of the Westerns my uncle used to read. They were already old and falling apart 40 years ago and they had some mighty weird stuff in them that I read *far* too young.

Any movie that involve advice or equipment from the US military will be propaganda in some form. This is why Stanley Kubrick didn't get any military support for Full Metal Jacket. Tanks from Belgium, rifles from an arms dealer etc.
