I think you misunderstand the nature of our criticism of boomers vs Gen Z's mockery of us. Millennials were and are saying "hey, y'all sure did fuck us and every subsequent generation." Zoomers are saying "your fleeting, scattered optimism was cringe; don't you know there's no hope?!"
