I took the opportunity this year to buy an orange-and-white striped tee and use an old pair of jeans and jacket with my gigantic(!!) belly to dress up as Juno for Halloween. I will not be posting a photo here, but I did a pretty ok job with this one opportunity to really nail the look!

It was a blissful 5 hours of children playing in the street, and sharing food with neighbours.

It truly was. And although I think it should be a whole lot easier to close streets for community life, it was worth every signature required to see the kids appear in the street at 4:15 when they noticed the lack of cars.

I think my original ask was a no go (Chebucto to Quinpool, multiple blocks). But once I started asking more questions, we found something that worked. The pylons are from a shared citizen supply, not HRM. 😉
