The idea that we’re choosing to be trans is pervasive. In enemies, it manifests as the belief that if they just make being trans suck bad enough, we’ll give up and be normal. In “allies,” it’s in the way they act like it would be nice if we had rights, but we’ll ultimately be okay without them.
Show PostI’m a woman. I can’t be anything else. So, if it would be shitty to do something to a cis woman, like cut her off from medical care or threaten her with arrest for using the toilet, it’s shitty to do it to me. This ain’t that hard.
