As a whole, I think US culture hyper-sanitizes death and dying from a puritanical perspective. There is nothing abnormal or abhorrent about aging and eventually dying (if we’re lucky to have the life cycle we are meant to have). All of this makes grief worse btw.

is it not the beauty of community to come together and share our experiences and learn how different everyones lives are and how vast the trans experience is and yet we are still here bound by a common thread and might not have ever met otherwise
