Looked at clare county as well. Really wacky stuff, looks like a random township (Franklin) is up by 5% relative to 2024 same day. Almost all of it is mail increase, which was about 50/50 D/R in 2024 in that county. That's probably good for dems even in that deep-red county?
Show PostAll in all, looks like it's democrats who are motivated this year. Even in counties where republicans might look for good news, I only got bad. Most hardcore red precincts across the state are down like 30-40% vs '24 same-day. OOF.
Show PostGrand Traverse has concentration in Traverse City. Houghton County has concentration in the blue areas (Stanton Twp, Schoolcraft Twp). Oakland is highest in Troy, Lathrup & Novi, suggesting it's bluer areas that are getting out the vote.
Show PostLooking at Alcona County. Most of the county is down hard like the rest of the north, except Curtis Twp and Mitchell Twp. Weird. They swung >15 pts '24 -> '26 prim. Iosco County has increases concentrated in specifically the populated areas (East Tawas, etc) so I assume that's more D-lean
Show PostIn Ottawa County, it's mostly the swingier or bluer areas, often wealthier, including, Holland, Zeeland, Sheldon Twp, Spring Lake, and Crockery Twp. Generally to left of county but still red since it's Ottawa County LOL. All have swung hard left from '24 to '26 primary
