do you believe in uhh... building said public housing?
Show PostThe answer is yes, actually. I actively advocate for affordable and mixed-income housing in my neighborhood to be built, and as a result there are several under-construction buildings here. I am also not wealthy; I'm a disabled person who lives in a mildly shitty older building.
Show PostWhy would anyone support artificial housing scarcity. Be for real, you're asking us to support banning new homes because you don't like the people moving in? What?
Show PostGentrifiers are going to move in whether existing residents like it or not. Building new apartments means wealthier people move in there and not into older buildings landlords can get away with jacking up the rent on. Plus the new buildings of today are the workforce housing 30 years from now.
Show PostBlock club prints two housing stories: 1. Residents demand action to stop rising rents and gentrification 2. Community members concerned by new housing proposal
