well not quite; her lawyers might well have thought it was a stupid argument to run but the client is the boss and if she's advised 'look this will not help you' and continues to insist on it you just shrug and go 'okay but you were warned this might not go well...'

Quite amazing her legal team were trying to argue that mushroom foraging was one of her hobbies, an argument supposedly in her favour It meant the opposite - she would have known exactly what mushrooms she was picking because that's one of the first things you learn - identifying the deadly ones!
