My thought on Millennial Optimism is that the youth seem to be linking it to The Lumineers but imo that was too late. By 2012 the era of Obama optimism had already faded. The era of optimism was closer to like 2010

I did go to respond to this and then said to myself... lbr, it doesn't matter if it's unfair to call Decemberists stomp-clap, the joke IS still funny, & I AM a millennial who still listens to dorky indie rock, so (Evangelical nonsense that imo defines stomp clap aside) I've got no legs to stand on 😅
