It's a wonderful sport to watch but even better to play for these reasons - wit and guile can beat youth and athleticism at least some of the time, and the self challenge/learn/reward dynamic is hard won but fantastic. I have played for about 15 years and regret I did not take it up earlier.

Obviously from an observer's point of view an overweight 57 year old playing average doubles tennis is not an edifying sight, but at its finest, inside, sometimes, you forget your troubles and momentarily feel like you're flying. Highly recommend 5 stars.
