If you take someone’s work and share it without permission, the writer gets no feedback, no appreciation. As those are our only ‘payment’ for pouring our hearts into something for others’ enjoyment, taking it away sucks. AO3 also viciously defends author rights. Google drives do the opposite

Everyone's worried about losing access to 'their content'. We are more than that. We are people who want to know that what we're making is appreciated, and you might say 'but sharing it like this does that!' but not if we can't see it. And that's not even with the AI issues. Please, just don't.

Actually, after giving it much thought and sitting with my discomfort: I have not consented for my work to be hosted and shared by other people in google drives/documents. If you see my work being shared, please ask the poster to remove it or let me know. This behaviour is not helping authors.
