Obama is the only mainstream unifier of the Democratic Party right now, and this is coming from someone who has a lot of disagreements with Obama’s actions (I’m much more to the left). No one in the party right now would dare to publicly be in direct disagreement with him.

IMO it's so fractured right now they won't coalesce behind anyone. I didn't agree with Obama on everything and I think he should've gone way harder when he had both houses of congress. BUT I would take him 10/10 over what we've had the past decade and over most of the people who've run.

I have pretty mixed feelings about Obama but he's actually a leader and not evil. So he's got those things going for him. It will be interesting to see what the future of Democratic Party leadership actually looks like. Who are the big players now? Seems like no one?
