Not everyone can afford new market-rate units, but many people can! If you don't build new market-rate housing, those of us who can't afford it then have to compete with those who could for *existing* homes on the market. Guess what that does to the price of the existing housing supply?

Really need liberalism and the Democratic Party to get its shit together on media issues as we start the 28 cycle. The press isn’t an ally. The NY Times is an open enemy. We must be our own press and hound the msm when they fuck up. Fight this just as hard if not more than the GOP.
