We've now taken the kids to enough historic reenactment/tour type things that they've learned how to behave and have started actually enjoying them. Well, not the baby. She still misbehaves. But the point is that she'll get used to it too lol

Has anyone done any research on kids who know All The Things about Pokémon, memory, and motivation in school? I am starting to notice some patterns and wonder if teachers investing some time in Pokémon would be a game changer for these students.

The signs made their debut in 2024, and successfully lured in a lot of people including a pack of teens who came very warily down the street apparently expecting a Looney Tunes-style hole in the ground. Thus the addition of TOTALLY NOT A TRAP in 2025.

I’m so tired. But tonight at a volleyball game, a teacher said to me “we love you because you’ve brought your teacher self to being an administrator. Everyone can tell you’re an awesome teacher.” And it’s the best compliment anyone could give me in this season.
