One of many reasons to teach adult learning courses: the students regularly make you cry, in really good ways. Today it was their memories of the worst of the 1980s AIDS epidemic & the best of resistance & solidarity in those very dark times. May we learn from both in our own.

It went just as well as you can imagine. My favorite part is when they tell you for more complicated and nuanced conversations students should go see an advisor. Harvard fired all its pre-concentration advisors last year.
