Had a walk around Witton Lakes earlier, highlights were 40+ Wigeon, 28 Mute Swans, Shoveller, Gadwall, Teal, Little Grebes, Redwing, Siskin and Grey Wagtail. 37 species in total. #Wittonlakes

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I never used to look, but I do give them a going through nowadays....and if I see something 'different', I'll try to work it out as best as I can. I don't take it too seriously. What I enjoy is learning in the field bit by bit & hopefully it'll become ingrained

Edgbaston reservoir 6.30-9 Solid mix of stuff today. Pochard 2, Goosander 5, Teal Little Egret 2 Raven 2 Redwing 300+, Fieldfare 40+, Woodpigeon 1000+. Blackbird & Starling mixed in Redpoll 5, Siskin Chiffchaff GS & G Woodpecker GCG 1, Cormorant 32+, G+P Wags, Greenfinch Sparrowhawk #UKbirding

This evening was the first time I noticed the Greenfinch roost this autumn. I’m very pleased to say this is now an annual occurrence at my home in Worcester. At least 85 & probably a good few more eventually dropped into the neighbours hedgerow. #WorcsBirds
