This isn't something I read in the Star Trek Encyclopedia or the TNG Companion or the Nitpicker's Guide, like so many others. No, this is something only I could ever have found out because I tracked down the book and squinted at screenshots and had the diligence. This is my unique encounter! 😊 9/10
Show PostStaring back at me on pages 354/355 of Volume I of the Annotated Shakespeare was none other than...a young and bearded Sir Patrick Stewart, playing Touchstone in the 1968 Royal Shakespeare Company production of "As You Like It"! I was awed and knew that I had discovered something extraordinary! 6/10
Show PostI then went through every episode of #StarTrekTNG and took DVD screenshots of the book in the ready room whenever it was visible. Then I used these blurry DVD screenshots, took the book and with squinty eyes, tried to identify the correct pages from the Globe Illustrated. This worked at first.. 3/10
Show PostIn the spring of 2010, I finally wanted to wrap my head around the Shakespeare book in Picard's ready room and tracked down a copy of the Globe Illustrated Shakespeare that's seen in Picard's hands in "Hide and Q". It took me ages to find the correct edition but this book is how it all started. 2/10
Show PostJust purchased "The Book of Pizza" from @kingarthurbaking.bsky.social so decided to try the "New American Dough" recipe. Bread and whole wheat flours, yeast plus a bit of sourdough starter. Honey and olive oil. 8 hour rise at room temp, 2 days in the fridge. Would make again. #foodsky 🍜 🍽️
