I'm at the point where basically the only thing I use actual Google Search for is shopping, where it remains much better because that's the one place I actually DO want my purchase history and Instagram ad engagements driving my results lol

I still prefer Kagi to Startpage in general because it doesn't have the Google rankings baked into its algorithm but unlike Startpage it isn't free
