Show PostAnd in fact this view in Government is imported pretty much wholesale from US tech. The EU is at least willing to grapple with regulation of AI. And will have greater leverage than the UK ever can have.
Show PostThe oddest thing of all, and I've heard this articulated in the Government, is that we can't join the EU because of AI. When in fact it's the complete opposite. US and Chinese dominance over AI is precisely a reason to regulate with the EU.
