Genuinely upsetting to hear about Patrick Stewart. National treasure amongst national treasures. Constant cultural presence from the first time I watched Star Trek TNG with my dad when I was 9. So lucky to see him on stage in The Tempest and Waiting for Godot.

As an ally I try to emulate Patrick Stewart’s visible support for for the LGBT community. Sadly none of my gay friends are as famous as Ian MacKellan which is a sad failing on their parts. And my stocks of Choco Leibniz have been ransacked by lesbian friends. Which never happened to Sir Patrick!
