Like. JUST MAKE TELEVISION, goddammit. I'm very generous toward adaptation—I think anything can be actually asking really curious questions of IP; after all, I liked Watson—but at some point you can just tell an exec "there's no reason this silly cop show idea can't be original" and take your lumps.

all the other reasons why this is silly notwithstanding, I'm pretty sure being an accomplice to vehicular manslaughter would disqualify one from applying for a job in the police serv— (harsh buzzing can be heard from the earpiece in my right ear) okay, we're just getting new information...
