I just learned that the Assyrian kings were buried underneath the palace in the capital, Aššur. Assuming ghosts were real, this seems to provide a great opportunity for a story about the ghosts of the old kings bothering the current king. Not horror, though. Something more like VICIOUS.

I don't like the fact they're characterizing it as malicious on the redirect splash at all, though. If they want to do this, do it (I won't make an argument; I'm actually quite conflicted), but be honest about what you're doing and why. It's not a spear phishing link.

This kind of thing erodes trust when you actually need users not to do something to avoid getting their credentials stolen, or worse.

Untrue. The oldest surviving mechanical clock is in Salisbury Cathedral and dates back to the 1300s.
