Best writing advice I got was in 2017 when I started back to get my undergrad degree. Write the paper. Write a summary/conclusion paragraph. Scrap the paper, except that final paragraph and make that your introduction to the ACTUAL paper. The 1st draft collects & orders your thoughts.

I got similar advice as an undergrad and frequently used it when giving feedback on student essays. "Now that you have written the paper, you finally know what it is about. Take the conclusion, make it your introduction, and revise."
