unlike yotsuyu, she was lucky to get away. the equivalent of gosetsu in her life had more time to get to know her, had the resources and the influence to nudge her towards a better path (that she had the strength and the will to pursue herself).

i think between fordola and yotsuyu, aster sees more of herself in yotsuyu. she was never in a position where she would've been conscripted for the military, but she WAS a civilian who was recruited to be an imperial medic/supplier, with a personal endorsement from a legatus
