“Cut everything that doesn’t advance the plot” is genuinely bad advice. Scenes that develop either the characters or the atmosphere yet do zilch for the plot are valid, too. There’s a reason why Studio Ghibli movies keep being praised for always including a bunch of shots where Nothing Happens.

I got around to cutting out and laminating the badges me and @haydo.bsky.social got for Furcation from @sirbarkalot.bsky.social and I’m really, really pleased with how they’ve turned out. I just need to find the hole punch and we’re in business!
