We have had to re-solder six wires so far and there is now a significantly structural amount of electrical tape involved. There have also been at least seven iterations of “oh I suppose it would probably work better if I plugged this in” so y’know, going pretty well.

We’ve both been struggling a lot health-wise this year, so originally we were just going to refine the carousel mechanism and reprint it in a single piece now that we have a big enough 3D printer to do that. But then this week she decided she really wanted the button to be illuminated.

The signs made their debut in 2024, and successfully lured in a lot of people including a pack of teens who came very warily down the street apparently expecting a Looney Tunes-style hole in the ground. Thus the addition of TOTALLY NOT A TRAP in 2025.
