“There are moments when a community must decide what it stands for, when its institutions have a duty to speak and when silence itself becomes a statement." Does that sound like the legacy press? Well, it's Cleveland Plain Dealer:
Show PostThe US Federal Transit Administration is intentionally delaying transit project environmental review processes. This will make them more expensive. The FTA will then likely subject those projects to new cost requirements (www.urban.org/research/pub...), & substantially reduce federal funds for them.
Show PostI sometimes think it's a disservice that much of these ongoing prosecutions etc... have to be out of public view for the defendants safety etc... because it means that the general public doesn't see how the machinery of state repression actually works.
Show PostAlso talk to attorneys like @tbh1910.bsky.social among others who are STILL dealing with the fall out from the anti-genocide protests and have clients who are STILL navigating severe consequences. Again, people simply do not pay attention to what's actually happening.
