Maine voter here. Agree completely. It ain’t hard and you can explain it to folks. People who argue “it doesn’t make sense” after that are bad faith actors.

This. Maine Democrats made a BIG deal out of how supportive Mainers (across the board) are of RCV in fighting a proposed DNC rules change to effectively ban the practice in presidential nominations this summer. [The DNC pulled that RCV proposal.] Most folks seem to like RCV once exposed to it.

Irish voters seem to manage just fine with their ranked system, STV. Pretty low numbers of spoiled ballots, for instance.
