as always, every kid trick-or-treating tonight was wonderfully polite. regardless of age. my favourite was the 5ish year old who was so excited about getting a bag of M&Ms (her favourite, apparently) that she insisted i take something from her bag of sweets in return.

I do understand that it is genuinely much easier to say "Gemini, turn off all interior lights when I leave the house" and not have to set up those automations manually. But you set that up one(1) time and most devices have standard settings you can just turn on... it really doesn't save much time.

Google keeps telling me to switch to Gemini in home, but I really don't need AI to turn a lamp on and off. My app has been turning these lights on and off for 7+ years with basic if/and statements and it will continue to do so
