I’ve focused so much on mass transit and fixing our existing roads while fighting the creation of new problems from new roads (the Bi-County Parkway and Godwin Drive extended specifically) exactly for this reason. Where the hell is our wildlife supposed to live when people cut everything down?

Meanwhile Manassas Park, we’ve watched in real time two formerly wooded areas recently clear cut by housing developers. Redevelop existing parcels for housing like the new downtown and what’s planned for Euclid/Manassas Drive. But animals need places to live too. The woods are their home.
