Great post. What strikes me is how the fascist psychology of domination, the worse kinds of transphobia, and (for that matter) misogyny are based on similar mechanisms, at least under the hood. There are about 10 threads worth pulling on, but I'll stop now.

fwiw i only came to accept that it's sadly true that a cherished mutual is not a friend when i found myself like repeatedly surprised pikachu face that a mutual didn't treat me like a friend in some situation. but now i accept this and i'm also happy to have what a mutual is.
