I wouldn’t even do flight time for that amount! As a frequent traveler I am always amazed at how people leave their common sense at the parking lot at airlines….i couldn’t do it without lashing out numerous times!
Show PostThat’s a perk that costs their employers $0. (They can only fly if there’s an empty seat.) Yes, it’s a useful perk but it’s like getting free pens in your office job.
Show PostAs someone who has been paid a salary and forced to work 70 hours per week, while they only report 40 (ie. no OT), I get it. This isn't ok and needs to change.
Show PostBoarding time is a relatively new gain for FAs at most airlines. After 28yrs, my carrier finally got BP with our new contract. Is it enough? Not IMO, but it's a gain for now. It's nice to finally be paid for it. We also achieved sit time pay. Sometimes, we'd have 4hrs between flights....unpaid.
Show PostDelta used to pay $0. As did all the other major carriers. My airline got boarding pay with our newly ratified contract. Same formula as Delta. Is it enough, no, but I'll take it. It's nice to finally get paid for boarding after 28yrs.
