Patrick Stewart wore his LGBTQ allyship lightly. This is not to say that it wasn’t fundamental to his beliefs, nor that he wasn’t active in this respect. Rather, that it appeared to him obvious that LGBTQ people should have the same rights, dignity and respect as anyone else. This one hurts.

One of my students brings his service dog to class with him every week. Teaching with Nala sitting beside me has been such a joy. Honestly, all writing workshops should have service dogs.
