Humbly requesting that one of the dozens of rep cinemas in LA play GENERATIONS soon.

We've been watching Star Trek: The Next Generation lately, and it just cannot be overstated how much Patrick Stewart's performance gets the whole thing over. He singlehandedly made a good show great. Then you watch I, Claudius, and this avatar of decency is Stephen Miller in a centurion's uniform.

I'm not much of a Trek or X-Men guy, but how could anyone who happened upon a scene fail to admire Patrick Stewart's craft, mastery, and integrity? At 83, according to his NYT obit, he said, "I have so much more work to do." I admire any artist who expires satisfied. But I FEEL his kind more. RIP.

Patrick Stewart was my neighbor 3 doors away from the apt I lived in Brooklyn for 18 years. That’s how I knew him, did small neighborly things for each other, caught each other in pajamas in the street. He was so wonderful & fit right in. My deepest condolences to his wife Sunny, a gem of a person.
