Each of my sons just called me to let me know that their paternal uncle had died. I've known him since I was 16 & kept in touch post-divorce. He was a good man. The boys' main concern was how *I* was. They are very fine young men.

Small things I want to talk about remind me every day of the loss of the person I shared so much history with & who knew all my quirks & opinions, who didn't misunderstand & forgave me all my faults. But I'm glad that at least I had that Sorry. Maudlin thought for today *pulls self together*
