It came to my attention that artists like Carpenter Brut, Perturbator and Dance with the Dead are rooted in the metal scene. Especially the latter like to incorporate electrical guitars into their sound. The attitude, epicness and retro charm of rock and metal is all over these guy's songwriting.
Show PostThe dumbing down of your product to be able to grow and survive off it (enshittification) is just a sad fact of capitalism I reluctantly accept to a certain degree. I don't follow Insta and TikTok hypes, I don't have accs there; Only on Twitch & YT since I don't watch linear TV anymore.
Show PostI was afraid of the same trend with the band you describe; Then again I discovered the girl's music at a time when I was opening up to different musical styles like synthwave. I used to listen to far grittier thrash, death, black, and stoner/doom metal stuff almost exclusively before.
Show PostThose are both so fantastic! I also got the Auditorio Nacional show on DVD when it came out a few months ago and have been wearing it out. They are playing a smallish venue here (Phoenix) in the spring and I'm hoping to score a ticket, they seem amazing as a live band.
Show PostNothing wrong with that. You have your own taste in music. You’re not obligated to like music a favorite band makes as they go along. If their new music doesn’t work for you that’s completely understandable.
