5 years ago I walked into Wellington Hospital, Aotearoa (NZ) for 11-12 hours of cancer surgery (by 2 teams). The surgery was brutal. Followed by a 3 week in-hospital stay. The recovery took months. But I’m alive. I survived . It cost me nothing. May this never change.

The only local debate I attended was organised by our youth council, and the ACT candidate walked in, had a look, turned around and walked back out. He was not missed. It was a really good chance to meet & listen to the candidates in a non-adversarial environment.
