This is a wildly unjustified request. DOJ just asked for an extension to comply with an order laying out the specifics of how the must comply with a Monday order laying out how to comply with an earlier requirement to submit status reports on compliance with an October 6 order. This is not it.

But the thing that gets me is, haven’t they already representing having been in communication with EG? The status update doesn’t require them to complete a round of communications with EG, but just to put specifics on the communications that already happened (unless they lied about those)
