Now it just enrages and confuses and saddens him that a majority of the people he loves the most in the world - people who are kind and generous and do good acts - STILL believe the lies, despite all the clear evidence to the contrary. He used to tell me that "You hate them just as much as they hate you." To which I would say that mostly I feel sorry for them in their ignorance/fear -- but even if I did hate them, I would STILL want them to have food, education, healthcare, a living wage, civil rights. And THAT'S the difference.

That's a prosecutor mentality where conviction rates matter & that's what they get judged on. Should not apply such a cynical viewpoint to something so critical as protecting our democracy. Impeach, impeach, impeach. Not like they can't be voting on other bills at the same time...
