At least once or twice a month someone comes up to say how they've heard from a random friend or someone passing by that they had no idea there were so many people standing up in so many places. The media conglomerates around the world are ignoring it.

French is my first language. I have French family members, what you see from miles away re: protest in the country is much more complicated and uneven than you understand.

Across this sprawling country which is 18 times larger than France, there are daily stories of protests by Gen Alpha re: ICE. Just because you don't know about it, does not mean they aren't trying where they are to register their opposition to what is happening to their peers and families.
