i think instead of emulating the N64's AA, which would be fairly complicated, they just crank the resolution of the game on NSO. but i don't exactly know that for sure, i only suspect from the way the games look. also some people find the N64's AA undesirable, since it blurs the image somewhat.

Same. Sitting two feet from a CRT with the N64 hum going was peak cozy. Modern sharp upscales are nice but they lose a little of that dreamy feel.
