i dunno man being 18 in ~2010 was pretty good. the club music was pretty awful but drinks were still cheap, we didn't live in a panopticon, the internet was still pretty cool and fun, music festivals were still kind of affordable. i had a pretty good time tbh even though i was flat broke

I thought the whole point about being a millennial was that you thought things could and might be good, and that you had the power to enact meaningful change. That was the hope. The repeated defeats, belittlings and let downs hurt more because of that hope

out of the blue remembered an old friend who cut all contact with me years ago and stated they were better off having never met me. Despite all that I hold no ill will towards them and hope they've found some measure of peace in their life.
