God, the ending is so good. The craziness of the hotel going masked off juxtaposed with Danny running through all that white and Jack chasing him while giggling because he’s so happy to finally be doing what he loves (murdering his family)…no other way to say it, Stanley cooked here

The iconic axe scene is so funny in retrospect because Jack does this genuinely impressive feat of strength, peacocking the whole time, then does literally the one thing that could possibly allow Wendy to escape because, at his core, he’s a loser that sucks
