"Klara and the Sun" bombed. My totally vibes-based take: real AI ruined sad AI stories. Sad AI stories used to be metaphors for human alienation under capitalism. Now the audience that used to warm to those stories views the idea of an AI with emotions as a nasty corporate trick

always remember that the Dia De Los Muertos parade didn’t exist until the James Bond movie Spectre was released in 2015 featuring a Dia De Los Muertos parade and Mexico City was like “oh shit that looks cool i guess we could have been doing this this whole time”
