I'm really going to miss Pillowfort. One of the kindest social media communities I've ever been in, with strangers willing to help explain things to you, comment on your posts, and share their lovely creations. I'm going to miss it dearly. Thank you Pillowfort for all that you gave me. <3

Love to Julia of @pillowfort.social for what I know is the hardest decision she's ever had to make. She did amazing for a very long time at a job that gets harder every year. www.pillowfort.social/posts/8413273

Pillowfort was what we needed, but the broader community wasn't willing to support. It's hard when people are so hell bent on chasing numbers that they don't understand participating in smaller communities with more meaningful interactions. I believed in pillowfort and proud of what they did.

Oh and a reminder to support @pillowfort.social. Now more than ever, we need site for fans by fans. Bluesky is just a stop-gap as we've seen with their behavior as time goes on.
